Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page!
As many of you already know, my wife Ann passed away on July 14th 2014 after a long fight against Breast Cancer, ...which eventually spread to the bone and finally her liver. Ann was a native New Yorker, but when we settled here in 1997 she immersed herself in everything Irish.
Because of her both mine and daughter’s participation, Ann became more and more involved with Ladies’ Football teams – eventually leading to a strong attachment to and participation in Armagh Ladies. Ann served as County Secretary for three years and in that time rarely missed a game home or away.
After Ann was first diagnosed with cancer in 2006, she worked with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland (which was then the Ulster Cancer Foundation), running several very successful events for them – each raising funds to promote awareness and to assist cancer sufferers and their families. I would like to join her love for Ladies football with her favourite charity and organise a fitting fundraiser in her name.
"All in for Ann" is about raising money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland and their local breast cancer research as well as promoting breast cancer awareness. So on October 3rd 2015, let's do her proud and please come out to Dromintee GAC grounds, county Armagh, and honour Ann by helping in the fight against cancer.
If you’d like to make a donation to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland I’d be very grateful, as it will help them as your local cancer champion here to to help you &your family if you have cancer. They can't do it without your support so thank you, every donation will make a difference.
