I've set up this page because I plan to visit Kerala, India this summer to teach English to children and young adults in schools which are understaffed and in need of support. The decline of the traditional fishing community in this area has led to a greater need for locals to learn English to further their employment opportunities. VESL volunteers work alongside a local NGO to promote community development and improve the life prospects of the local people.
