I am raising money for the species regeneration programme at Chester Zoo. This is a project very close to my heart: from snails to elephants, they are all important in the ecosystem. I have always been passionate about wildlife, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant.

Chester zoo have recently released some nearly extinct Bermudan snails into their native habitat having bred them successfully. There are many other ongoing projects like this that need support.

As some of you will know, I am very ill and I would like this to be my lasting legacy.

I would be delighted if you could spare any donations for this worthy cause in my name.

PS Mum sadly lost her battle at the end of August and  she loved watching all the donations come in. It kept her going through her sad times. We have raised so much money and have visited Chester Zoo to see the snails...such a lovely experience
