Ninewells Cancer Campaign has raised more than £23 million since 1991 to support local cancer research and treatment at Ninewells Hospital. Donations fund ongoing cancer and future cancer research and the purchase of specialised equipment.

Story

Ninewells Cancer Campaign has been raising money since 1991 to support local cancer research and treatment at Ninewells Hospital. Our initial appeal raised £1 million to establish the Biomedical Research Centre within the University of Dundee Medical School, bringing more than 150 scientists together to create a centre of excellence for cancer research. Further successful fundraising campaigns supported the creation of the Princess Alexandra Cancer Treatment Centre within Ward 32, and the Pat McPherson Centre for Pharmacogenomics and Pharmacogenetics to promote research into more personalised treatments for cancer. Most recently, NCC supported creation of the Jacqui Wood Cancer Centre at Ninewells Hospital, further promoting translational cancer research and fast tracking research findings to improve treatments and outcomes for local cancer patients.
