THIS PAGE IS NOW CLOSED BUT YOU CAN STILL DONATE ON MY NEW PAGE www.justgiving.com/ALICIAtheBrambleRunningStitcher
In early 2019, the Running Stitchers team tackled the 13.1 miles running London Landmarks Half-Marathon and they were hugely successful. Not only did they all complete the distance but they raised a lot of money for this amazing charity. And then Tracy did a fantastic job of running the London marathon. Again, the money continued to come in and to date they have raised £2,200.00 through our Just Giving pages. But now there's a new challenge which I need your help with. "Enter THE GREAT NORTH RUN I thought, how hard can it be?" From everything I've read this is really going to test me and push me to my limit... and I don't mind admitting it...it's scary & frightening... But no way near as scary or frightening as dementia. And therefore I will be continuing to raising money for our charity the Alzheimer’s Society and we do hope many of our customers and friends will either join with us or continue to support our efforts for a charity whose vision is a world without dementia. I have made a commitment to Alzheimer’s Society to raise £250.00 for this event alone and so on behalf of the Bramble Patch we are asking family, friends, customers and fans to sponsor them in support of the fight against dementia.
And to thank you...
After the generosity of everyone in 2017, this time we’ve come up with a special thank-you for our best supporters – the brand-new Quilt Down Memory Lane Club.
As a thank-you for donations of £25 or more, we will subscribe you to our new Block-of-the-Week Club. Each week we’ll email you a pattern for a 5” x 5” patchwork block that can be hand or machine pieced. There are 53 different blocks and with a simple border, you’ll have a unique lap quilt (approx 60” square). The project is suitable for using up scraps or making a dent in your stash; or, if you prefer we can help you choose fabrics or put together a bespoke fabric pack for you.
Just let us know when you’ve made your £25+ donation and we’ll add you to the Quilt Down Memory Lane Club.
Of course you may have already signed up to our quilt and if so thank you and I really hope you are enjoying the memory stitching journey. We are hoping to have an exhibition at the end of the stitching journey to share a celebrate the amazing creations of all our lovely, generous customers - watch this space!
