Royal Parks Half Marathon / Blenheim Half Marathon · 1 October 2017
In October and December this year, we will both be completing a half marathon in aid of Rushden Persian Rescue! Sophie will be completing the Royal Parks Half and Alice will be running the MK Winter Half.
Having fallen in love with two cats through this amazing cat rescue and rehoming charity, and being fortunate enough to offer them their forever homes, we have decided that it is time to give something back! (Mr Darcy, the black Persian and Charlie, the Bengal-cross)
Patsy Smith and a small number of volunteers founded Rushden Persian Rescue in January 2007. They became a registered Charity in June 2008 Reg. No. 1124730. The original aim of the rescue was to take in Persian cats that were in trouble. Since then, the rescue has expanded and they now cater for many different cat breeds!
Over the past 10 years, Rushden Persian Rescue typically rehome/rescue in excess of 300 cats each year and rely heavily on donations and fundraising in order to give the cats the veterinary care and shelter they deserve.
Every cat deserves a loving forever home, and Rushden Persian Rescue work tirelessly to give each cat or kitten the best possible second chance. Any donations would be hugely appreciated!
You only have to see the hundreds of success stories on either the rescue's website, or their Facebook page, to understand the enormously positive impact that this charity has had for so many cats and their humans. Lets show our appreciation!
Time for us to get training!
