Story
Thanks you so much for visiting my justgiving page. I am running my first ever marathon for Sarcoma UK and my aim is to raise £3,000 for this wonderful charity. Sarcomas are very rare cancers that develop in the muscle, bone and nerves, and Sarcoma UK aims to raise awareness about this form of cancer.
I am running for Sarcoma UK, as my boyfriend's sister, Katherine, died from Sarcoma just over four years ago. In fact she died just a few short months before James and I met. James and his mum, Glenys, support the work of Sarcoma UK to help other families who are affected by the rare form of cancer. I never knew Katherine, although over the years that James and I have been together, I have slowly learnt more about her – what sort of person she was and her likes and dislikes. I want to fundraise for Sarcoma UK to pay tribute to Katherine, who I never met, but so wish I could have. I know that running the London Marathon is also something she would love to have achieved.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity... and also to motivate me on those long and lonely runs! I don't think I realised just how tough training to run a marathon would be... or how much it would take over my life. I really appreciate everyone's support and I hope to see as many of your faces as possible on London Marathon Day.
