Story
In April 2016 Alice was admitted to hospital with a sore arm. Three weeks, four CT scans, and two biopsies later we had a diagnosis of Hodgkin Lymphoma. Macmillan were with us at every stage, from anxious waiting (and googling) to figuring out a treatment plan. They helped us know what questions to ask so we knew what was going on. The online community put Alice in touch with other Hodgkin patients, so she knew what to expect.
Now Alice is getting to the end of 6 months of chemotherapy. The interim scan was very positive, and we anticipate the final scan in the New Year. We’re now looking forward to the future beyond treatment. Just weeks before all this started, Alice had completed the Cambridge Half Marathon 2016 so we are coming full circle to run together in the 2017 event.
