Story
Hello everyone!
For those of you who don't know me, a few years back due to some mental health problems I, unfortunately, spiralled into a drinking problem. Since then I have drastically cut back on how much I drink, and it all started with going sober for one month in October 2018. Since then I have decided to take on the same challenge every year and find it much easier to stay on track when I am raising money for a charity. I find these months to be a good reset for me and remind me that having a few weeks sober can do wonders for the mind and body.
Usually, I do my fundraising for the main charity of Sober October, but this year I wanted to do something a little different!
A few months ago I adopted a little kitten called Crash. He's amazing, and one of the best things to come out of this year. What breaks my heart, is like so many other cats and kittens, Crash was born on the streets. Without the amazing work of the Cat-Ching ladies, my house would be much duller, and Crash would still be out there!
Cat-Ching Sheffield is a local based cat charity, and the work they do is unbelievable. The owners work full time because as they say "saving cats doesn't pay the bills". There have been times when they've had to pay vet bills out of their own pockets (sometimes costing in an excess of £1500!!).
The world needs more people like this, and cats like Crash need the work that they do.
Any amount of money will help to buy food, litter, toys, and go towards much-needed vet bills.
So give what you can, and remember that whatever you give could change the life of a cat, and give someone like me a Crash!
