Story

Once again we are pushing ourselves to raise important funds for the St John’s Hospice in Lancaster. As many of you will know this is where our gorgeous Mum spent the last three weeks of her precious life. During this time no ask was too much for the lovely staff of the hospice right down to the offer of a bedtime ‘G & T’:)…Both my sister and I were made so welcome to spend as much time with Mum in those really tough days and equally the support WE were given was so very important..we could basically camp out in Mums room if the ‘family room’ they have available was needed by another family to stop in or if we just wanted to be close to her the shorter the time became. During her last few days Mum was able to lie watching the squirrels feed outside her window and watch the world go by..it was such a precious time made all the more special by the ability of the hospice being able to be there for her/us…None of this would be possible without generous charity donations and this is why…for the second time…WE have SIGNED UP to the NEXT CHALLENGE..:)).. Last year we,as a group raised £110,000 which was AMAZING…Our joint personal goal, this time, is to raise £4000…Please can we ask you to think of the great work the hospice do and to maybe make a donation for this great cause that, unfortunately, more of us are needing help from more and more every day… Thank you for reading to the end!:)).
