Story
Hi there,
Imagine giving someone with sight difficulties or blindness the amazing opportunity to see again, how incredible would that be! The gift of sight is something we really take for granted, yet imagine how you would feel if it was taken away from you? This, unfortunately, is the case for many children and adults in Iraq who have been the victims of war and terrorism, not to mention the decades of rule and neglect under the regime of Saddan Hussein.
But there are plenty of opportunities to do something about it, and this is one fantastic way!
I'm running the British 10K Run on 11th July for a brilliant and noble London-based charity, the Al Hasan Foundation (http://www.alhasanfoundation.com/) that runs an Eye Clinic in Najaf, Iraq. The Foundation offers free Eye Care for the disadvantaged people of Iraq. It is in desperate need of funding to allow for the continuous services it provides.
It doesn't cost much to change a person's life for the better. As an example, just £35 will pay for a cataract operation and help them see again.
Please dig deep, donate generously and help make a big impact on people's lives!
Thank you very much.
Ali
