Story

Sasha, Tallulah and Taylor have been best friends since they started primary school. They were inspired to apply for a Mark Evison award of £500 from the foundation following a school visit by the charity. The criteria for an award from the charity was to push their own boundaries and have an adventure doing something outside of their comfort zones, all without adult input. They planned, researched and organised the trip without parental “interference” - applied for and won the award, and are currently somewhere up a mountain in Scotland completing a 5 day walking trip in the Scottish Highlands. Yesterday, they managed to complete the taxing walk up Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the uk. The photo at the top of this page is of them at the top of the mountain, 1345m above sea level.

The Mark Evison Foundation do amazing and valuable work to inspire our teenagers and young people to be independent, resourceful, organised, adventurous, and to get out there and explore the world for real instead of virtually hooked up to their various devices. Experiences like these are hard to come by these days, and we want to be able to give the foundation back the award they gave our kids in order to allow another set of kids the same opportunity to go off and have their own adventure.

If you can spare a quid or two, the cost of a beer or a coffee we would be very grateful.
