Story

About us

My name is Alexandra. I work at the Leicester branch of
Quest Employment.

 In 2001, the
Leicester branch opened its doors. Over the last 21 years the office has
evolved into the number 1 agency in city working in partnership with some of
biggest and mist well known businesses in the county.

Operating in the city for so long we like to work with the
community and for the past 9 years we have been supporting various local charities.

The art

When I heard about Quests charity work, I wanted to help and
I wanted to help in what I enjoy doing the most, painting. I am a self-taught
abstract painter for over 5 years. I use colors to portray emotions and
feelings; each of my pieces depicts a statement or an emotion. I incorporated the
company colors in this piece: blue, orange, purple, and green. What do these
colors mean? Blue calls to the mind, feelings of calmness or serenity. Blue is
often seen as a sign of stability and reliability.

 Orange is the color
of joy and creativity.

The color purple is often associated with royalty,
nobility, luxury, power, and ambition.

 Green represents
growth and renewal, being the color of spring and rebirth.

"Reflection" is the title of this painting. What
is the significance of the title? If you look closely at the meaning of these
colors, you will notice that everything said above is something that everyone
desires. A stable job can provide stability and peace, and if it is enjoyed, it
can bring joy and happiness throughout time. All people have ambitions. It's
normal and a desirable state of mind; if there are goals in life, it's
worthwhile to keep going. Then there are instances when a decision must be made
to alter everything, such as changing jobs or careers. To have a fresh start it
can be scary and exciting at the same time. That is why it is named
"Reflection," because it paints a picture of our lives.

Fun fact, when painting this piece I used a sponge and a
small brush for most  of it.

What for we fundraising?

We are raising the money for the Leicestershire wild life hospital.
What are they doing ?

They commit themselves to the rescue, rehabilitation, and
release of sick, injured, orphaned, and distressed wild animals and birds in
Leicestershire and the neighboring areas.

Furthermore, they ensure that their patients receive as much
natural environment as possible. Because the number of animals has grown
significantly, it requires significant resources and work to keep its doors
open.

Every contribution makes a difference, and I am delighted to
contribute my art to such an organization. I'm excited to see how many raffle
tickets have been sold and to find out who will receive this painting.
