Story
On the 24th April 2016 I'm running 26.2 miles to raise money for Voluntary Service Overseas.
VSO is the world’s leading international development organisation that uses volunteers to fight poverty and reduce inequality.
Their vision is simple: a world without poverty. Their approach is unique: sending skilled volunteers from sectors such as health, education and business to work with partners who have requested our help. VSO enables a two-way exchange that benefits the volunteer and the community they serve far beyond the life of the placement.
So an incredibly good cause. For which I am running 26.2 miles. Or 42.195km. Or 46,112 yards. Or 209.6 Furlongs.
Twenty. Six. Point. Two. Miles.
When Pheidippides first ran this distance in 490BC he dropped dead at the end. So technically this is also a death defying feat. For which I deserve cash donations...
