Story

In 2015 I decided to take up the offer of free swimming lessons offered to me by Sefton Council.  Swimming is a skill I always wanted to master but as time went on the less confident I became of ever achieving my aim.

I spent the best part of the first 3 months getting used to be in water and moving around with the use of a float.  The lessons  though were fantastic and with the help of Kathy and Jamie - Sefton Council Swimming instructors  (giving me tips and pointers all along the way I learnt well within the expected time-scale to swim "properly" breathing etc  under the water and  gradually building  up my confidence and ability to swim using different strokes and ability to swim distances (abet at a slow speed), to the point where I feel confident to complete the challenge with only one or two groans.  I am fund raising for two worthwhile charities:

1. Action on Hard  of Hearing who have assisted me with concerns when I have began to start to lose a percentage of my hearing.

2. Mayor of Sefton's  charity fund who fund raise for a number of small causes in the local area.

Many thanks for your interest.
