We work with women and girls in London to to live lives free of violence and abuse
Story
I normally raise funds and awareness for men's health during Movember. This year, given what has happened in the last few months especially, this didn't seem entirely right.
Nia are a fantastic organisation, set up to stop male violence against women. They are also involved in the Reclaim the Night protest that will be happening on 27th November 2021.
I am asking those who would like to donate to think about splitting their donation between both of these fantastic causes. The link to my movember page is here https://movember.com/m/13992239?mc=1
Here is a bit more information about the nia project.
nia has three main aims:
To provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence.
To contribute to ending male violence against women and girls.
To inform and influence policy and public awareness.
They achieve their aims by:
Providing high quality services for women, children and young people who have experienced or are at risk of male violence.
Increasing awareness of male violence and developing services, contributing to research, debate and policy initiatives to prevent it.
Challenging inequality and discrimination and celebrating diversity.
Empowering and supporting women and children.
Increasing and developing the effectiveness of resources through partnership, collaboration and multi-agency action.
