Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’ve dedicated time in March/April and now it looks like May as well….to raise money for Cancer Research UK by trekking to the Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas.

As part of a team - the aim of which is to put fellow trekker and climber Phil Purdy on top of Mount Everest we arrived at Base Camp on 8th April. Now safely back home we are thinking about Phil and the massive task before him as he continue his acclimatisation and practice climbs before attempting the summit later in May.

Your sponsorship and donations will assist the charity directly and will help them beat cancer and they were a great incentive for me on my journey.

Although my trek is now complete there is still time for you to contribute. If you're not sure how much to donate look at it this way. How much do you spend without thinking every time you buy a round of drinks for your friends. Not much change from that £10 note is there? So how many rounds could you do without this week and donate instead to this fantastic cause?

Dig deep and make a real difference to someone’s future!

Don’t forgot that my fellow Directors at Saftronics have agreed to double every Pound Dollar or Euro donated by sponsors…so the more you give, the more they give!
