Story
A few years ago I got it into my head that I was going to walk the island of Lanzarote from north to south. It’s approximately 73km from the port at Orzola to the lighthouse in Playa Blanca.
You know how things are, we say these things and never get around to doing them. So, to stir myself into action, I decided to use it to hopefully raise a little bit of money for charity and set up this page. Committing to that forced me to plan for it and name a date.
The walk was completed of the 4th and 5th February 2011 and this page raised £1305.67 (including gift aid) which has since been distributed to;
Niños Tercer del Mundo - based here on the island and raising money for children in the third world.
The Rose Road Centre in Southampton who provided a wide range of services to severely disabled children and their families.
Both are VERY worthy causes.

Thanks to all who have supported me - and if you happen to stumble on this page and would still like to donate to the two very worthy charities the page remains open for donations!
(You'll see from this page that donations will go to Rose Road initially. Rose Road will dontate 50% of the monies raised via this page to Niños Tercer del Mundo once collected)
