Story

Alan loved reading books about the sea. We always liked visiting lifeboat stations wherever we were. Being an independent lifeboat station isn’t easy, and that’s why we have chosen Caister Lifeboat to pay tribute to Alan’s life and his love for the sea.

About the charity

Our Charity was formed in 1969 but our tradition extends from 1794.We operate a Dutch Valentijn Class water jet powered Lifeboat the Bernard Matthews 2 and the Fred Dyble Inshore boat. All our Members are Volunteers who give their time freely so all money raised supports Life saving operations
