For those of you that know me, I'm not a massive fan of exercise, or at least lose interest in it very quickly. So...what have I got myself into!!
Wavering between yes and no (for a long time!) I finally thought what the hell I can do this :D
Training will be tough (last time I was on a bike it had tassels and cornflakes reflectors!) and knackering but I can't help thinking about the last day, finishing in Santa Monica, having cycled 511 miles and shouting OMG I did it!!!
Of course I am not only doing this for my own achievement, but also for a fantastic charity, The Rowans Hospice. The Rowans Hospice is dedicated to improving the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses and supporting the families and friends of those affected. Unfortunately we probably all know someone who has been affected by life-limiting illness and thats why it is important to support charities like this one to continue doing the great work with improving quality of life and supporting all those affected.
I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me to make the hard work worth it and to contribute to The Rowans Hospice.
I have to raise £3,000 in total, this is only one way of helping to raise this money.
We are also holding a jumble - Mountbatten centre 10am Saturday 22nd August, most item £1!
Thank you for your support, I'm sure I will have many stories to tell by the end of this. Flying out on the 6th October so you may see me out on my bike before then!
Wish me luck xx
