Story
Dear friends, family, and loved ones
Adam passed away at the end of October. An unexpected departure, his smile, humor and empathetic personality will be deeply missed.
Adam was a kind and generous person. He saw the good in everyone and would go out of the way to lend a hand or make you smile. His sister Kim recently shared a story about Adam taking off his shoes and offering them to a homeless man who was walking barefoot. At first the man refused, not wanting to accept charity. But Adam didn't skip a beat, "Man, this ain't no charity, you and I both know that they will look much better on you than on me!" Adam had a truly special gift of being able to make you feel seen and appreciated, offering the figurative and often literal clothes off his back. Helping others with compassion and respect was just who Adam was.
In celebration of Adam's life his family is setting up a memorial fund through Raphael House, a community supported charitable organization that offers help to people and families facing the threat of homelessness.
