Schneider Electric Paris Marathon 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·

Cancer Fund for Children supports children diagnosed with cancer and their families by offering practical and emotional support including nurturing breaks. We are currently launching a Capital Appeal to build our second Daisy Lodge in Cong, Co. Mayo which will ensure that no family in Ireland faces cancer alone.

Story

Hello Everyone - thank you so much for clicking on the link and making it this far! On Sunday 2nd April this year, I’m attempting to run 26.2 miles as part of the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon. It’s always been on the ‘life bucket list’ to run a marathon so this is the year…

When thinking of charities in the context of Northern Ireland, there are so many special ones and a particularly special organisation which everyone has heard of is the Cancer Fund for Children. Cancer Fund for Children (NI) provides practical, emotional and financial support to local children with cancer and their families in Northern Ireland. Their specialist team provides support at home, in the community and on the hospital ward. They also offer free therapeutic short breaks at the Daisy Lodge facility in Newcastle, Co. Down to families from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Their amazing team is there to listen and help families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives and support them from diagnosis throughout and beyond treatment.

Any donations towards this worthwhile cause would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you for reading and please feel free to tune into this page for training updates as the 2nd April draws closer and closer!

À bientôt,

Adam.
