On Sunday May 26th 2013 I will be running The Bupa Great Manchester 10k Run in aid of The Alzheimer's Society and in memory of my Grandad Sam.
Grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in early 2010 shortly after losing our Nan in the January, but sadly lost his brave battle with the disease on 10th October 2011.
Alzheimer's disease is a terrible disease and the most common cause of dementia, affecting around 465,000 people and their families in the UK.
In running The Bupa Great Manchester 10k Run in aid of The Alzheimer's Society I hope to raise the profile of this terrible disease that has so deeply affected our family and many others, and hope to raise money so that The Alzheimer's Society can continue to offer support to the people and families affected by this disease.
