Fundraising for Re-engage
Story
The Just Actuarial Systems team have challenged ourselves to see how many miles we can contribute to the Just World Office Tour, and raise funds for our corporate charity partner, re-engage, at the same time.
Re-engage aims to support older people who live alone and find it hard to get out in normal times. In response to the Covid-19 crisis, they have launched a call companion service to provide a regular friendly phone call to older people to help combat the loneliness they may feel.
The Just World Office Tour is a challenge to see how many times we can virtually cover the distance between all our offices - 16,236 miles per lap! Walking, cycling, swimming and cardio activities all count towards the shared target.
Our previous challenge was over a weekend, we managed over 200 miles then. This time, we're doing it over a week - our target is 500 miles and we're raising funds for re-engage for every mile we've set as our goal!
