The goal of the Valerie Taylor Trust is to financially contribute to the treatment, rehabilitation and reintegration into the community of disabled people in Bangladesh, particularly those in financial need. We also aim to assist with education of the public and relevant health care workers about the problems faced by disabled people and ways in which these difficulties can be overcome.

Story

Assalamualaikum.

16 million people in Bangladesh are suffering from some form of disability. 

Due to many socio-economical barriers, they can’t afford to be treated. Hundreds of thousands of children and women are in dire circumstances due to their disability. 

This Ramadan, I’m raising funds for the Valarie Taylor Trust which supports the Cnetre for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP). CRP is founded by Valarie Taylor OBE who continues to spend her entire life for the people of Bangladesh. 

CRP provides treatment, rehabilitation and training.

I am helping to raise funds for specialised wheelchairs. These chairs are designed to make the lives of disabled children a bit more comfortable and give freedom of movement, something which we take for granted.
