Story
For those of you who know me, will know that I hate getting my hair cut, and when I do, I always ask for a ‘trim’. However, I have decided that on the 14th of February I am going to cut 12+ inches of my hair to donate to The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs from real hair for children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
What’s better than helping one charity…. helping 2! Not only will I be donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust. I will also be fundraising for another charity, the ROHHAD association. This charity does fantastic work fundraising and supporting children living with ROHHAD syndrome. ROHHAD syndrome is a very unknown condition that affects several children, causing many problems such as breathing difficulties and weight gain. There is no specific test for ROHHAD syndrome, leaving the diagnoses often challenging. ROHHAD syndrome is a life-threatening condition which requires more understanding and awareness. With very limited research, there are no answers yet as to whether there are underlying factors or if there is a genetic cause present. More research is needed to improve the methods of diagnosis and also the therapies available to improve the lives of children living with ROHHAD syndrome.
Even if it’s £1, every penny helps! I’d really appreciate your generosity and support!
Thanks Everyone
