In addition to providing a state-of-the-art dialysis facility to a large population in Northern Pakistan, Pakistan Kidney Centre has now becoming a centre of excellence for treatment of kidney stones - only one of its kind in the entire country. It started with providing minimally invasive treatments as laser treatment for stones and key-hole surgery for stone removal in Nov 2020. It has now expanded its services to include Lithotripsy Treatment for Kidney stones - an effective way to treat stones without anaesthesia or surgery. The most modern version of this treatment - electro-magnetic lithotriptor with automated stone localisation has been acquired and became fully functional in July 2022.
