Story
Jan 2017 Meryl set up Newbury Soup Kitchen. It is a voluntary organisation providing help and support to the local homeless, rough sleeper community and those less fortunate. During the Covid-19 crisis, they provide about 300 meals a week. This is done by way of delivery. The food is cooked, bagged up in individual ‘grab bags’ which have a hot vegetarian meal, fruit, snack, drink and homemade cake or biscuit. Newbury Soup Kitchen works solely on food supermarket/public donations, public monetary donations and grants. They cannot do what we do without this. Alexandra and Gabriella feel strongly that they want to help the homeless and those struggling for food at this time.
