Story
I, Aaquib Naved, am attempting to raise at least £500 (hopefully much more) to climb Mount Snowdon for Human Relief Foundation as part of the University of Birmingham Islamic Society Charity Week.
Climbing
Mount Snowdon is going to be an exciting challenge and insha Allah with your help, I can make use this sponsored climb to benefit the refugees in the Zaatari Camp in Jordan.
The sponsored climb will be happening on Sunday 15th November. We will be leaving from the University of Birmingham by coach at around 6am and hope to be back by around 6/7pm.
*ALL* of the proceeds raised during this sponsored climb will be going towards the Zaatari camp, one of the largest refugee camps in the world. The camp is so vast it has its own marketplace and is bordered up all around to keep the refugees inside. There are schools, community halls and medical centers. However, there are no facilities to accommodate the disabled and orphaned children.
Human Relief Foundation (HRF) will be raising money to fund a project that will provide the disabled and orphaned children with a special school, along with specialised teachers to give these children a chance to grow up and be valuable members of their society. The cost of the whole project is £100,000.
Please take the time to donate. A very small £10 donation could go a long way for those who are suffering in the refugee camps in Jordan.
Thank you
Aaquib Naved
