Story
The Leofric Lions "Your 100 Challenge!" Local charities have been hit hard during the pandemic and fundraising sources have dried up. Leofric Lions usually run an annual "Walkathon" event to help facilitate other charities raise money through this fun event. As we can't run it this year, we've come up with the idea that we can still all have fun raising money for chosen charities by having a "Your 100 Challenge" challenge - have a go at 100 of anything.... walk 100 steps, yards, miles, bake 100 cakes, carry out 100 random acts of kindness - whatever gets your imagination going!
So as we can't take part in the annual Leofric Lions Walkathon - we're going to join in the 100 Challenge and do 100 Fun Challenges in the Park instead. The Brownies are just voting for the Charity they would most like to support. Usually 50% of the money raised goes towards Pack Funds, to help with things like buying badges, paying for the Hall rent, towards trips etc and the other 50% is donated to a good cause - chosen by the girls themselves.
The ethos of Brownies is depicted by the Promise and Law: -
Promise - I promise that I will do my best: To be true to myself and develop my beliefs, To serve the Queen and my community, To help other people and To keep the Brownie Guide Law.
Law - A Browne Guide thinks of others before herself and does a good turn every day.
Thank you for your support!
