As most people are aware I support a local charity set up by the mum and 2 other parents that have suffered with childhood cancer in the family. The work that they do is beyond valuable to the families going through such a terrible time. All money raised goes straight into the charity. We are doing this event for Shine Bright Support but also in memory of Eleri Hooper. Eleri was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the right femur. Eleri was aged just 7 years old. After numerous chemo sessions, being told Eleri was stable to being told the Cancer had returned, Eleri sadly passed away aged 8. Cancer is a disease that can effect anybody, families need support through the whole process and this is what Shine Bright Support does.

I am using the same JustGiving page as when me and the lads did the fundraising whilst deployed however, this time it is for me shaving my head! I have been growing my hair for around 18 months now, I was lucky enough to get it signed off by the SWO at Brize. 

I know a lot of people have shaved their heads due to no barbers etc being open, but this is different. My hair will be going to the Princess Trust who use the hair to make wigs for children with Cancer. I will be completely shaving my head, not just with clippers but with a razor blade! I will shave my head every day for 47 days as I work on 47 Sqn. 

Also.....if we hit a total of £1500 I will wax my legs, £2000 I will wax my legs, chest and armpits! 

I know times are hard, but please, any money you donate will be used by Shine Bright Support who even through Covid-19 have been delivering food hampers to the needy and vulnerable in the community! 

Let’s make me have a bald head, legs, chest and arm pits!
