Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page! :-)
Phil Matthews, Mitesh Patel, Jay Savdas, Grant Ward and Alex Blyth will be attempting the 24 Hour 3 Peaks Challenge in September 2012. The 3 amigos have now become 5!
We will be raising money in memory of Henry Garbett (Phil's wife's Dad) who passed away very suddenly in March this year. He died of an unexpected heart attack and was taken away far too early.
Henry was such a role model for making sure you live your life to the full and make the most of every day. As such, we're going to get off our bums and climb 3 mountains in 24 hours, raising money for the British Heart Foundation.
The challenge is to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (the highest mountains in Scoland, England and Wales) all within 24 hours.
- 25 Miles of walking
- 10,000 feet of ascension
- 1,050 miles of driving (Massive thanks to Hannah for this)
We will not be using any of your donations to fund our trip so any donations made will be massively appreciated and will go straight to the charity.
Thank you so much for your time.
Phil, Mit, Jay, Grant and Alex
In memory of Henry Charles Garbett who passed away on 7th March 2012 - such a great person who I miss so much. I'll always remember his easy going nature, jokes and funny little sayings. He was a very caring man who loved his family so much. He'd always insist on buying me a drink when we were out and I'll never forget him - Phil Matthews
