Story
We are Flt Lt Andy Goodwin and Flying Officer Jason James and we're members of the RAF Nordic Association. On 1 Jan 21, we began a 365 Day Challenge to raise funds for our chosen charities, help maintain our fitness and help keep us both mentally focused during the pandemic.
The challenge we set ourselves was a simple one. Between 1 Jan 21 and 31 Dec 21 we must complete a minimum of 5km in one or more of the following: walk, run, bike, ski, roller-ski, skierg or nordic track.
We chose four charities to support, each of which have a special place in our hearts, these are Cancer Research UK, Dementia UK, MIND and the RAF Central Fund. The first three are well known and, for both us, have relatives that have been affected in some capacity by these illnesses. The RAF Central Fund is less well known and often overlooked. It has provided support to us and countless other RAF personnel by ensuring we have what we need to remain both physically and mentally fit, at home and abroad, to perform our roles duties.
We hope you can help us throughout 2021 and help us raise value funds for all our chosen charities.
