Fundraising for Refugee Action
I'm about to celebrate 500,000 "hits" to my website 35mmc.com. I'm sure that doesn't mean anything to anyone else, but it's a nice little statistic in my world so I thought I would celebrate by doing something positive.
I would like to try and raise £500 for charity. £1 for every thousand times someone has looked at a page of my website over the last two years.
I'd like to raise this money by the time I get to the 500,000th hit, which I estimate to happen sometime later this month.
The charity I am going raise money for is Refugee Action. I suspect it is quite obvious why I have chosen this charity at this time. I like many have been quite moved by the plight of the all the people escaping war torn countries. I have also been a little disappointed by the UK government in terms of the actions they have taken.
But politics aside - and there does seem to have been an awful lot of politics about this subject recently - these are people that need all the support they can get right now.
So if you have clicked here, why not click a few more times starting with the link below. Click through to my just giving page and donate some money. Even £1 would help. Over 500 individual people visit the website a day, so if everyone visiting in one day donates £1 I'd achieve my goal very quickly.
Thanks in advance…
