Dear friends, colleagues and running enthusiasts,

This is the 3rd time that I will participate in the Athens Marathon (though the 10k race only) and again I would like to use this chance and raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The last times were very successful: competition-wise as I enjoyed the races and finished in good times and charity-wise as through your help and support more than GBP 850 could be collected! A big THANK YOU to all who contributed! Without your support it would just be a sports event.

This year again I would like to encourage you to take a minute and contribute to the ongoing efforts in researching causes of and treatments for cancer - a deadly disease which brings suffering to so many people each year. If we can help to advance the research just a bit then our money is well spent. Cancer Research UK is on the forefront of these efforts and deserves our support.

All contributions are highly welcome and appreciated. No amount is too small to make a difference.
