Story
Pete & Guy had so much fun last year that we are back for more this year.
We will play croquet for 26 hours (up 1 hour on last year) looking to raise money for Dulwich Sports Club and Parkinson's UK ( https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/)
Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.
There's currently no cure for Parkinson's, but there are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help you manage the condition.
Dulwich Sports Club was founded in 1867. Now the Club serves the local community and surrounding urban areas with a wide array of sports. We have cricket, croquet, squash, racket-ball and tennis onsite, whilst the affiliate hockey club competes offsite before returning to utilise the clubhouse bar & changing facilities
Exercise is good for you. It's especially good for you if you have Parkinson's.
Whether you have Parkinson's or live with someone who does, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. With Parkinson's, the best exercise to do depends on the way it affects you. But the message is the same for everyone - go for it!
We have several members who have Parkinson's and the word is that croquet helps them. As such we are proud to be looking to raise funds for Parkinson's this year.
