Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The need for shelter and associated equipment is even greater now worldwide due to the Covid-19 virus. Shelterbox has for 20 years been in the front line giving aid in countries where disasters have struck. Now these countries have had to face Covid-19 in addition to floods, earthquakes and other disasters. To see how Shelterbox is combatting Covid-19 in disaster areas Click Here
To support Shelterbox, several members of The Rotary Club of Maidstone Riverside will be walking and manually pulling a Shelterbox in a trailer from Swanley in North Kent to Maidstone, a journey of 21 miles in one day.
The Rotarians, including the Club President Rob Stephens, will take turns to pull the load two at a time along the hilly and often busy A20 road. Other members of the club will join them to walk the full distance whilst others may join in stages along the way.
The event will start at St Paul’s C of E Primary School in Swanley where the pupils will give the team a great send off. A few miles further on the team will call in at West Kingsdown Primary School where they will be cheered on by the staff and pupils there. We will also call in at Brands Hatch for a short photo stop.
So please donate what you can to support our project in helping raise funds for Shelterbox’s vital work in vulnerable countries throughout the world.
