In these troubled times, and inspired by one of Olympia's classmates, we decided to find a way to help those in need for food. Because of the current crisis, 1 in 8 people are going hungry everyday around the world and this number is likely to rise.

With this in mind, we came up with a family & friends challenge of our own and we hope this inspires each and everyone one of you to help us raise as much money as possible. We aim to cumulatively run and cycle 150k between the 6 of us. 

The race will take place in London & Lanzarote. Theodora (4yr) will run 2k, Olympia (7yr) will run 10k and thereafter jump on her bike and continue on her bike until the finish line, Marta (50yr) will run 12k and cycle the remaining distance, Jojo (36yr) will run 24k, Colin (33yr) will run 50k @ less than 4:00 per km! whilst Nico will cycle and film the challenge. This is Theodora’s, Olympia’s, Marta’s, Jojo’s and Colin's longest ever running distances!

We chose to support Akshaya Patra – Unlimited Food for Education
because no child deserves to go hungry and be deprived of a future. We feel that Akshaya’s focus on nourishing children and encouraging education during this crisis is important. Why India? About 30% of the world’s malnourished children live in India with malnutrition accounting for half of child deaths within the country and 1 in 11 are labouring instead of going to school.

During the COVID crisis, Akshaya Patra has been serving food every
single day. And whilst they started serving 21k meals back in March, they are now reaching 1.4m meals daily as the crisis has hit more and more people in need.
