Story
Hello everyone! .
On 26th October 2021 I met Tony Hudgell at the British Citizen Youth Awards. He was really kind and gave me a thumbs up when it all got a bit overwhelming during the ceremony. Ever since I have been back from London I have thought a lot about Tony and his story.
Tony is an inspirational 7 year old who recently received his prosthetic legs after an awful start in life which resulted in him having to have both legs amputated in 2017. In the lockdown he was inspired by Captain Tom and decided to walk 10k unaided which resulted in him raising (and counting) £1.8 million….amazing amount and well done Tony and Family!
Tony has set up The Tony Hudgell Foundation to help enhance the lives of children who have been affected by physical, emotional, or psychological abuse.
I will run 1 kilometre everyday for 100 days to raise money for the foundation - this may sound small but in the cold, wet and dark evenings of winter this is going to be tough!
I would love for you to follow my story through this page https://www.facebook.com/groups/295922382381331/and any donations will be gratefully received by a lot of children!
