Story
So this is it! The BIG ONE - A marathon for Myeloma UK....It was just a bit of a crazy plan when I started running last March to work towards running a Marathon for the cancer Milo had - Multiple Myeloma, but yet here I am!?
Myeloma was a rare cancer of the blood effecting mostly adults over 60.. I say was because Milo is an example of how this has changed. He was only 48 years old at diagnosis and died less than a year later. This highlights the devastation of this horrible cancer, so quick & so powerful & yet the only cancer that remains without a cure. Now this was the case for so many cancers 20 / 30 years ago & look at the progress that has been made! Give Myeloma UK a chance to make the same progress. It's no longer rare (cases have doubled in the past 30 yrs) and with one of the principle causes being environmental it can only go one way without our intervention.
I promise I won't be asking again - this really is my final plea.. Help me to raise money for this so totally deserving charity. A year ago I couldn't run to the postbox, let alone imagine attempting a marathon! But there again I never imagined such a healthy, happy & strong man like Milo could be taken from us as he was. How things can change so quickly. We miss him greatly every day. Milo - God Bless! x

My brother Tim will also be running the London Marathon this year, also in Milo's memory, but he will be running it for Macmillan - another truly deserving charity & one that supported Milo & my Mum through a very difficult time. His link is below...
