Story
More & more people are learning everyday that a close friend or relative has been diagnosed with cancer. This disease show's no prejudice young or old it is becoming more common within our society? 10 young people today will be diagnosed with cancer!
My friends Cath & Pete unfortunately were given the devastating new in October 2012 that their 9 year old daughter Abby has a rare bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
Abby is enduring the most painful of treatments: Chemotherapy at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Since October, she has undergone a series of Chemotherapy sessions, and in March had an operation to remove what is left of the tumour in her leg.
The good news is, the tumour responded well to the Chemo, and she is now undergoing a fresh programme of treatment to see off this disease! As a Mother of 3 children, I cannot begin to imagine what Cath and Pete are going through? Where do you begin?
CLIC Sargent has been a rock for Cath and Pete, Abby’s big sister Ellis and of course Abby, by supporting the family & helping them stay together, while they are going through this terrible, emotional time. This is why we want to do something positive and give something back to such an amazing charity.
So.....here I am......putting my name forward for probably THE scariest things I've ever done.....I MUST BE CRAZY!!!!
