In 2011 a dear friend and sister told me how a family member of her's contracted cancer. He was barely a couple of years older than me and within months his health deteriated. In Feb 2012 he passed away leaving behind his wife and young children. This brother was just one of many people who I have known to lose their life to cancer. Although I cannot find a cure, I want to raise money to support victims of cancer so that their final days are spent peacefully in the comfort of Hospices such as St Marys in Birmingham.
