Story
Yumi and Thomas have decided to go for a 4,000km (that's about 2,500 miles) bicycle journey from Cape Soya, the Northern most tip of Japan to Cape Sata, the Southern most tip of Japan!
This trip will be a "quest wrapped in an adventure inside a challenge" as neither of us have cycled that much before. We'll start in the remote north part of the Hokkaido prefecture, cross Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu islands to finally reach Cape Sata.
We are raising funds for Advance Advocacy Project, a charity that supports women experiencing domestic violence. In the UK, 45% of women have experienced some form of domestic violence in their life.
Advance offers crisis intervention and ongoing support as well as advice to women and their children who are marginalised or disadvantaged as a result of domestic abuse and/or other social exclusion factors. Advance's aim is to keep women and their children safe.
Please give to help Advance to help women. Each £ will motivate us to pedal faster and further across Japan!
We'll keep you updated on how stiff are legs are and about all the beautiful things we encounter on the way! :)
THANK YOU
