Story

YAK TO THE FUTURE - MONGOL RALLY 2008

The Mother of all adventures - Hyde Park, London to Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia in a 20 year old Citroen 2CV.

This crackpot challenge that is the Mongol Rally is to drive a crap car 10,000 miles across one quarter of the earth's surface, across five mountain ranges and two deserts.
There is no support vehicles, no marked course or set route, no backup or support. We leave Hyde Park on July 19th and make our way through thousands of miles of unsurfaced roads and countless breakdowns in the hope that we arrive in the Mongolian capital some four weeks later.

This page is for all those that would like to sponsor us online. All sponsorship on this page goes directly to one of our two charities - Mercy Corps with a target of £1,000. Should you have a desire for your sponsorship money to go to our other charity "Home for the Elderly", please see our "Charities page" for details on how this can be done.

Please help us make this trip as successful as possible and raising a load of spondolies for two excellent charities. Tell your friends, family, people that own companies that might be interested in corporate sponsorship, contacts in the local media etc. If you use Facebook, Blogger or other social  networking sites mention our website and the challenge ahead.

A massive "thank-you" for your support!
Mark, Joe & Tim
