Story
The Ola During Children’s Hospital does not have an x-ray department. Patients in need of x-rays have to travel across town, a journey of up to one hour, which leads to a delay in the diagnostic process. Seriously ill patients cannot make this journey and miss out on these crucial tests and therefore, optimal treatment.
The total cost of setting up the x-ray department (purchasing and shipping of equipment, installation in a uniquely modified container, human resources, radiation protection approval, etc) is approximately £175,000 (USD 280,000).
This is a unique way for you to help the children of Sierra Leone!
