What do we do?
Work on Writing specialises in designing and delivering business writing skills training. We deliver a range of courses, from the basics to fine tuning. Training is delivered in-house, online and via one-to-one coaching. For more information about what we do, click here .
Why have we got a JustGiving page?
We're taking part in the 2013 Mistress Cutler's Challenge to raise money for the Sheffield Children's Hospital 'Make it Better' appeal. Over the next three years the appeal aims to raise £20m to support the transformation of the hospital.
How are we raising money?
It’s very simple. On Monday 24 June 2013 at 2pm we’re delivering a 3 hour Business Writing Skills training course at The Rutland Hotel, 452 Glossop Road, Sheffield, S10 2PY. If you’d like to attend, we’re asking for a minimum donation to the appeal of £50 (the usual price is £200). That’s it really.
What can I expect to learn?
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- focus on what your reader really wants;
- plan before you write;
- organise your writing effectively;
- use layout and design to make your message clear;
- set the right tone; and
- effectively review your own work.
How do I book a place on the course?
A £50 donation to the appeal via this page will secure you a place on the course.* But hurry - there are only 15 places available!
*Well, that and a quick email to linda@workonwriting.co.uk giving your name, the name of your organisation and your telephone number.
We’d love you to join us at the Rutland.
Your £50 donation will go towards a very good cause.
The JustGiving bit
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
