Story
At JTM Service we have developed the world’s first ‘Woof to Wash’ washing machine – activated by a dog’s bark. Two year-old golden Labrador Duffy, a specialist assistance dog, is the first pooch to be trained to use the machine by national charity Support Dogs.
Support Dogs do an amazing job in training and supporting specialist assistance dogs to provide help with everyday tasks for people with physical disabilities, give advanced warning of seizures for people with epilepsy and provide safety and support for children with autism and their families.
We have set ourselves a target of £5,000 to raise for Support Dogs to provide vital funds enabling them to carry on with their fantastic work.
Breakdown of how funding helps support dogs:
- £10 is the daily cost of caring for one support dog
- £25 buys leads, collars & identity disks
- £50 buys jackets and special harnesses
- £100 the cost of spraying/neutering and post operative care of a dog
- £500 the cover of a dog to client assesment
- £1000 - the cost of residential training period of a partnership
