I will be raising money for the Nehemiah Project in the process (see left and http://www.tnp.org.uk/), which is a great opportunity. The Nehemiah Project is a drug rehabilitation charity, and I was fortunate enough to be able to visit one of their properties recently. It was extremely encouraging to hear first hand from their current students how their lives are being transformed and their families are being reunited and healed.
*** Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Nehemiah Project will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. ***

Feb 25th -- The carbohydrate drinks and gel packs have made their first appearance...Things are getting serious! 17 miles run on Saturday which again is the longest so far! And I'm glad I had the drinks as the last bit really started to hurt. I think I might be starting to experience the dreaded 'wall'! Feb 15th -- Since getting the all clear from the physio things have been going well. I'm now doing two 8 mile runs a week in the gym, and one long run along the Thames. So far I've managed 12 miles...Aiming for 14 miles this week!
Feb 14th -- Sadly my hot date with my trainers had to be cancelled due to a work deadline...Hopefully not the first of many disruptions...Fingers crossed...
Feb 3rd - 12th -- Skiing disrupts training slightly, but I did make up by going to the gym once during the week! Surely that's acceptable!
Jan 21st -- The day after a long run by Battersea Park I discover an 18 foot whale was lurking in the Thames a few metres from me. Random!
Jan 15th -- Went to see a physio last week, and was advised to cut down the running on concrete (never a bad thing to do). Now doing lots of cardio work in the gym...bikes, ergs etc. Calves are feeling much better as a result!
Training began in earnest back in November. So far I’ve run in London, Devon, Virginia and Texas! I’ll be adding the Alps to that list before too long…
