Story

Well, unfortunately the match and the series was lost to the Aussie fans. I made a quick five runs with the bat and saved more in the field, but sadly, our series high total of 143 was not enough. The Aussie openers smashed their way to half of the total in around 5 overs, and early chances were missed. The runs slowed when the spinners came on, and despite a late flurry of wickets, one of the tail-enders edged a boundary to secure the win.

Thank you to all who have donated. I am pleased that my target was reached so quickly, despite the short notice. It was a great day on Twickenham Green, and your donations have made it so much more worthwhile. Donations are in memory of Scott Rennie, a mountain of a man, member of Molesey Boat Club and thoroughly great guy.
