Hello one and all,

Many of you will know the unconditional love that animals give us, no matter how we feel or how out of date our hair cut is they just love us, without ulterior motive or prejudice. If people could relate to each other the way that animals relate to people therapists would go out of business practically overnight.

But despite the massive benefits that animals bring into peoples lives there are thousands that are abandoned every year, and that has increased dramatically since the credit crunch began as people cut costs by giving away the family pet. At the same time as shelters everywhere are being overwhelmed by animals confused and frightened by their new situation, donations have dramatically decreased. Shelters everywhere are performing small miracles every day by finding food and shelter for all the animals in their care. £200 will help feed an abandoned cat that has all but starved, it will help provide vet care for a pregnant queen and her babies, it will help microchip strays so that they can be found again. It wil help.

Cats have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, they've always been there for me so I will be there for them. I'm willing to quite literally run through fire for them (or walk, the options are various).

Every penny you donate goes straight to the Cats Protection so they can continue their amazing work. Every penny helps.
